hmm maybe more contrast on the table it kind of disappears in the painting...
I like it! Maybe it could use more contrast between her skin tone and the background. The drawing is great.

Maybe its the pose and the black dress, but I immediately thought 'Edward Gorey' when I saw this. I mean the bright colors are definately not him..but it has that feel.
Perhaps it needs a pair of legs coming from off the right side of the piece like an old murder mysery...black trowsers and black shoes. =)
